Sassy Apron Swap

It's about that time again that I update this place and start getting creative. I just signed up to do the Sassy Apron Swap and I'm really looking forward to it. My excitement is almost borderline geeky, but I don't care. I love aprons I collect them and now I'm going to try to put to good use what my momma has taught me about sewing and make one. I already have a ton of ideas forming.

I did this one a while ago she's one of a series of 4 candy girls that I painted. She was modeled by my lovely friend Melanie.

Illustration Friday ~ Missing

Poor Victoria she regretfully has sacrificed her heart and now she truly misses it, ugh I'm such a sap! Man I've been a slacker it feels so nice to participate in Illustration Friday again. I initially was going to finish her in with colored pencils but I think she'll translate better with paint. Right now she'll just have to stay a sketch, but I'll make sure to post her in all her painted glory when Im done.

Self portrait challenge ~ 1950's Homemaker

I swear I was born in the wrong era. Not that I don't enjoy modern convenience's or today's woman's rights, I just wish we had the same glamour and beauty. I have to hand it to these ladies of the past, they would manage to look beautiful while keeping a clean house, taking care of the kids and the hubby and whipping up a pineapple upside down cake like no ones business. Its something I always try to aspire to.
